All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children! They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.
Miss Monica
Monica Moyers is a certified Music Together® teacher and mother of two. She has a B.A. in Psychology, has studied the guitar for over 15 years, and has ten years of dance training. She has done music enrichment activities at preschools, libraries, summer camps and elementary schools for 20 years.
Monica has recently focused on world drumming and has logged a total of 76 workshop hours, which has allowed her to lead drumming events in a variety of settings for music-making toddlers, seniors and every age in between!
Miss Tammy
Tamara Gregorian is a registered Music Together® teacher. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working as a preschool teacher for Stony Brook University Child Care center. She has taught Music and Art classes for Gymboree in East Northport and Drama Kids in Smithtown. Prior to that Tammy owned and operated her own group family day care for 12 years where music was always a big part of her program.
Tammy remembers the joy of making music from her earliest years. Her father would gather them around the campfire and play his guitar while the family sang along. She believes deeply in sharing the gift of music with everyone from the youngest to the oldest - it is always worthwhile.
Miss Heather
Heather Edwards-Wilson is a registered Music Together® teacher. Prior to becoming a mother in 2012, Heather enjoyed working as an elementary school music teacher for six years. She is currently a choir director and teaches piano and singing from her home. She has a M.A. in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and also studied music education for her B.S. at NYU.
Some of Heather’s earliest memories include her mother singing lullabies and wake-up songs and her father leading sing-alongs with his guitar. She remembers how much music meant to her as a child and loves bringing that joy, fulfillment, and learning to other little ones.
Miss Hsin-yu
Hsin-yu Liu is a registered Music Together teacher. She has a B.A. in Music from Soochow University, Taipei, Taiwan and a Master of Music Performance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She has been performing and teaching piano to children of various ages, as well as youth and adults for nearly 20 years. She believes that children should have fun in learning music and at the same time foundation needs to be instilled. She encourages more advanced piano students to develop their musicality besides honing their techniques. She also enjoys public performance, including piano recital and clarinet playing in chamber music.
Miss Mary
Mary was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York & she is of Puerto Rican descent. She and her husband have been living on Long Island for around 4 years now. Mary has been a teacher for 10 years, working with children from Pre-K to 3rd grade, working in Special Education and Dual Language settings. Ms. Mary loves singing, dancing, spending time with family, & being outdoors.
Miss Alicia
Alicia Galler is a registered Music Together teacher, Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and piano teacher. She completed a Bachelor of Science in music therapy from Molloy University and a Master of Arts in music therapy from Berklee College of Music. As a Board Certified Music Therapist, Alicia has worked in preschools, hospitals and privately, facilitating individual, group and family-centered music therapy services using a range of techniques. She worked at the Madison Theater at Molloy University as an accompanist for various shows and the Summer Musical Theater Intensives. She also leads and participates in the Music Ministry at her local church.
Since starting piano lessons nearly 25 years ago, music has always been an important part of her life. Her love and passion have turned into a rewarding career in music therapy and teaching. As a new mom, Alicia is dedicated to sharing her love of music with her son and hopes to spread that gift of bonding through music with other families.
Miss Kelly
Kelly Voigt is a registered Music Together teacher, an accomplished educator and a musician with a rich background in music education and performance. Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Lawrence University and a Masters Degree in Liberal Arts from Stony Brook University, she possesses a strong academic foundation. With certifications as a K-12 music educator in Wisconsin, New Jersey, and New York, Kelly's expertise spans various educational systems.
Currently, Kelly teaches Kindergarten & Elementary level music and chorus in the Middle Country Central School District. Her dedication to music education extends beyond the classroom, evident in her active involvement in professional associations such as the Suffolk County Music Educators Association and the Long Island Orff-Schulwerk Association. Additionally, her membership in the Long Island ReSound Handbell ensemble underscores her commitment to musical performance.
Miss Taylor
Taylor Consiglio is a native of Long Island, New York. She recently received her Master’s in Vocal Performance from the Frost School of Music (May 2023) & has her Bachelor’s in Music Degree with a minor in Psychology from Westminster Choir College. (May 2019)
Besides her passion for performing, she also is passionate about working with children! Taylor taught Music Together for about a year before she left for her Master’s program. Since then she has been teaching private voice & piano lessons, while maintaining her performance career as well. Taylor is excited to rejoin Tot Music under the direction of Miss. Monica.
